my vote = Bill G

[Bill G] u did a reall nice job on the beat u made sure every instrument had a purpose 4 being there and complimented each other plus they all blended really well. Props i was really feeling this, nice melody something just to sit back nd vibe with.

[Pain of Depth] First off props for being original with the beat but I wasn't feeling this at all. IMO those strings sounded like u just hit any random note, they didn't work at all with this mix, didnt compliment any of the other instruments used. I thought ur drums were dope nd liked that muted guitar. I think u needed alot more reverb on the electric piano u used. But overall it just sounded wierd to me like every instrument was playing just random notes like it had no melody. This is just my opinion im not hating im just tryin to help u out peace

the intro to your beat all the way up until the actual beat kicks in at about 0:45 sounds a little corny. at first i thought this was gonna suck because the intro doesn't really sound hiphop. soon as the beat comes in it sounds nice though. the chorus sounds kinda cool. it's the same as the intro, i know, but it sounds less corny with drums under it or something lol. but yeah this one is nice.

i wouldnt say it sounds like you hit random notes but whatever's in the background kinda making that weird sound needs to go. it ruins for the beat imo. the drums are indeed dope. as is the muter guitar. the string sounds okay but i'd lose it and add something a little less dramtic. put some reverb on the fender rhodes or what sounds like one and increase the release time because i think it cuts kinda too fast. don't overdo it though. maybe a flanger effect would be nice on the rhodes there.

i vote bill g.

no, i've never even talked to him before.

It was sarcasm. Didn't want to put a smilie in my post so I can see where confusion may arise.

Bill G - off the batt, the intro sounds like some old soul song, not really feeling the flute sounding instrument as much though when it kicks in. The bass is a nice compliment, hits off well. The drums are nice, the beat is nice and laid back. Not too much, not too little. NICE one. excellent drop.

POD - off the batt, im not really feeling the intruments. I think the missing links in your beats are lack of GOOD sounds. You got the structure/idea, but in the end i wasnt feeling it. Keep banging though!

My vote goes for BIll G...

I'll challenge winner....?

Myvote goes to pain of depth
pain of depth: nice beat ,ot too slow,i like how t sounds, the claps etc...

Bill G :I felt I was in a video game when the beat at 0:25 started , I aint feeling the beat , too slow.

You shouldn't an instrumental to something so quickly, you really limit what you want youself to hear. Also, 82BPM is not too slow for a soul song.
