I work at Universal Music Group and yesterday I found out that Jodeci's new best of album took the #27 spot on the top 200 billboard chart. For an old school group to shut out so many new artists is amazing. Their new album hasn't even been promoted very much. It's so refreshing to see so many people in the community supporting Jodeci.
Are there any fans out there?

I just started as an intern not too long ago, but we get copies of the soundscan Top 200 every week. It blew my mind seeing Jodeci that high up on the charts -- I got me listening to tracks from Diary of a Mad Band for the first time in years. Not just K & Jo stuff -- this was all the best Jodeci tracks, well-picked.

In my opinion, not many new R&B acts touch the type of material that Jodeci put out. And they were really unlike the other groups back then, none of mainstream R&B around that time really had their soul. Hoping for some new tracks in the future, too. They did give us a remastered version of their Stevie cover "Lately," on the new one -- anyone remember them or Mary J on MTV Uptown Unplugged (going back a bit)?
