Technology now a Firefox problem

it seems my computer is conspiring against me, if it ain't one thing it's another. this one isn't seroius, but it seems every time i start up my computer and go to firefox, all my settings have been reset to default. my homepage reverts back to google, all my downloads go to the desktop instead of my documents like i have it set to, etc. its not a major inconvenience but it's a pain in the ass having to redo my settings every time i use the internet. anyone have an idea why this is happening, and how to fix it? it's been going on for about a week now.

i honestly don't know. you might as well uninstall and reinstall it.

Select "tools" on the menu bar.then select "options".Now click the privacy "tab" and ensure that the "ALWAY CLEAR MY PRIVATE DATA WHEN I CLOSE FIREFOX" box is not ticked.

That might be the problem.

i checked that the first time it happened, and that wasn't it. but it seems to be better now anyway. strange.

nope, i have had no other problems witn my comp lately other than this and my limewire problem. but like i said, it seems to be back to normal now.
