appearently, half past midnight today, six different people from six different parts of northern norway called police and the biggest national newspaper about what appears to have been a ball of fire that was traveling horizontally across the sky heading north, north-east. the size of the object was too massive for it to have been fireworks or a rocket. it looked like a ball of fire surrounded by a green light. it was sparkling.

anyone norwegian, swedish or danish should be able to confirm it with this:

i dunno could be a meteorite.. what do they look like? lol

yeah i have no clue really, never saw a video of one, much less did i actually see one for real. the green light intrigued me, which is why i made a thread, but if that's normal, shoot. here i was hoping it was a ufo :D

I didn't see anything wrong with his English...

And aye, my little muffinpumpkin, you saw a meteorite, most likely. Now go back to your den and feed. You must be strong for phase 2!

are you referring to me or the newspaper?

if it's the newspaper you're talking about, then uh, gee, i dunno what to tell you. it's a norwegian newspaper, written and printed in the land of norway, where we speak our very own language that is norwegian? :p

Correct.

The Earth moves on it's axis which gives it that effect. You must not have seen it for a while.
the next time the sun SHOOTS across the sky, as in the sun setting less than a second after sunrise (which if you are right came at 00:30am) surrounded by a GREEN light, you will have the right to say that.

as far as i know, nothing i've described in this thread has nothing to do with the sun other than the fact that it, too, burns.

I saw something similar once at a campingtrip with my old class.

While out in the forest, i suddenly saw something i thought was a star, while looking at it, it came further and further, it had the same glow as the moon, and didnt leave any trail, it went over our heads like 50-100m above us.

The strange thing is that it had no sound at all. That one has puzzled me for a long time.
