Newspaper Story about Rap Competition

Was just reading one of my local newspapers that come out here in Ireland every sunday called the Sunday World, anyway there is a story about an Irish rapper who has got to the final 10 of a rap talent show that is broadcast in America on i think DirecTv, however as unusual as that is, thats not the interesting bit, in the interview with him he states that one of the other final contestants is a guy " who used to be in the late Tupac Shakurs rap group ", it dosent state anymore, but anyone know anymore about this and who is the contestant???
