Leatherface and his infamously vicious family are getting a new home... and an extra dimension!

A new TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE is in the works, but the flesh fanatic and power tool enthusiast is no longer living on the Platinum Dunes -- the property is now with Twisted Pictures, the production company
behind the seemingly endless SAW series.

Twisted apparently plans to "contemporize the storyline" (which will likely ignore the Dunes remake and prequel). And as is de rigueur with horror movies, sequels and remakes now, the new CHAINSAW will be in 3-D. (And no, don't bother complaining about it -- they make money, so they'll keep being made in 3-D.)

Screenwriter Stephen Susco (THE GRUDGEs 1 & 2) is working on the latest ways for attractive and unsuspecting humans to be disassembled and consumed by the iconic killer.

Flop?

They've really have to stop with all these reloaded movies. The first remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Jessica Biel was prob the closest thing to the original that was eerie, and dark.

its such a shame.. the original was not just a great horror movie
it was a great movie in general. the movie still holds great today even. the close up to the eyeballs scene was a classic cinema moment. tottaly captured the terror and fear.
