I don't know but I think CS3 was the best. CS4 really sucked.

Disagree masta, CS4 Extended is the shiznit. I'm far happier with it than I ever was with CS3. And this comes from someone who literally uses Photoshop on a daily basis.

Anyway, this 'Content Aware' stuff is fucking sick, I can't wait for CS5.

I couldn't get used to CS4 and I know a lot people who dislike it too.
We were using CS3 quite often though.

The new interface design threw me off at first, but after a couple weeks of heavy usage I found it to be far more intuitive. It also runs a lot faster on my old XP machine (and ridiculously fast on my new x64 Win7 laptop - boot up time for CS4 extended on my laptop is less than 3 seconds)

GIMP has a similar (third party) tool called Resynthesizer.
