Technology Need help with MP4

I have all the codecs I need to play MP4 files and everything, but when i try to watch war of the worlds (or atleast the part that i've downloaded) it won't play

right now i have about 10%, and i don't wan't to waste 13 hours downloading it if it wont play. any help is appreciated.

Well, posting that link is against the rules. Even if it wasn't, I don't think people would spend time downloading it, so please just tell us what the error is, and we may be able to help you.

here's what shows up when i try to watch the 10% that i have downloaded, and i can't re-encode it or anything a microsofts website wasn't of any help to me.

Hmm, not quite sure, but have you tried playing it in Winamp? What microsoft is saying is, error number 80004005 for Media Player is, Cannot open .avi file. So try it in Winamp.

don't got winamp but i tried to re-encode it in about 4 programs and it came up with the same thing and i also tried to watch it in nero showtime and media player classic
