Technology Need help to make shop on net

Hi, im setting up an E-business and I need some help to get started with software. I need something that will help me to make a shop but also allow me functionality to do what I want to put on there. Not be some generic post your product and thats it shit. Lotta software dont really allow you that kind of manouvarability.
Any ideas on what I need to get started.

I'd suggest Joomla CMS in combination with VirtueMart.

I'd suggest www.zen-cart.com.

I have experience using it (and programming templates etc.) so give me a shout if ya need any help. Can make it look however you want, you aren't restricted by the cart. Very powerful program as well.
