tbh, I didnt like the first date paragraph - sounded a bit corny, but I guess you have to balance it out, give examples that everyone may be able to relate to. Good idea to have that Seinfeld joke at the beginning - gotta get their attention early on after the formalities of thanking people. It's a really good speech though, I liked it. Good job.

Yeah, I had a feeling that it could come off a little corny, but I think it's the best way to relate to everyone.

It is a bit corny but it's passable. The only thing was, I couldn't help but think of first time sex - as opposed to kiss - while reading it until you got to mentioning 'kiss' of course. Maybe it's just me.

And DEATHWiSH, how about doing your best & then, if you end up in a position that requires a speech, you say 'no'?
