My 'best friend'.

I just need to vent cos I'm a bit pissed off.
Well you see I have plans tomorrow to go into town with one of my friends (who I was introduced to by my best friend) and another one of my friends is gonna come with us. And so my best friend was all like ''oh don't let Daniel come with you cos I don't want him being friends with that lot'' like wtf, just cos you introduced me to her does not mean that I can't introduce other people to her lmao, soo fucking stupid. It's like she's some what scared of something, being left out maybe. She loves attention and has the biggest fucking head in the world.

One time she got in a mood with me and my other friends cos we all went somewhere without her, and I mean like in a mood, not talking to us for days.

It's just fucking pathetic how I can't do a thing without asking her permission. Like at the moment I'm having to lie to her about some things just so she doesn't have a fucking bitch at me about stuff. I basically can't have my own life. She's not at all what I would really consider as a best friend.

Sounds like a bunch of crap, I've had friends similar to that before, that shit always put a strain on my relationships with them so I usually just ceased being friends with them, if they're going to act like little attention whores, they aren't worth the time.

I agree with The.Menace, you should do that emma. And don't care about hurting her cuz you'd be telling her the truth, just try to be honest and direct, I think it's the best way.

Things were kinda like that between my friends in high school - except it wasnt just one of us, it was all of us that didnt want to be left out. It was like these little power struggles within our group, we wanted to be 'the best friend' to feel important or something and I guess if its a tight group of friends, she doesnt wanna lose her place if others step in... it's possessiveness really. She'll probably get over it as she grows up, but yeah, it is annoying and petty. Lying will probably make it worse and she probably wouldnt understand if you confronted her about it - although, letting her know how much it bothers you may help in the long run..
