mpeg tunes

Hi I used to visit this board a while back and thought it was gone forever after hitemup.com but accidently found out last night its here. Thing is, some of the files ya'll send are mpeg files which i assumed were just for movies although they play in winamp (i stick to the old winamp that dont play movies i find it better personally for tunes). I use easy cd 6 or nero for converting onto cds which dont work anymore for these new mpegs so whats the best thing to use/convert? oh and any good 2pac hubs i had fair xchange but lost its details when i updated the dc++. oh and why are the tunes in mpeg format now anyway instead of mp3 in mixemup? i just rename them to mp3. works for me.
