Riccione, Italy (AHN) - Men in Riccione, Italy are strongly protesting over the opening of a women-only beach on the Adriatic coast of Italy but the women are simply loving the new concept.
Beach 134 at the Riccione resort features "No Men" signs and also no children are allowed to enter. This way the women are encouraged to keep their children at home or leave them with their father to devote some time to them.
The only men allowed at the beach are the hairdressers and lifeguards. The Times of London quotes Fausto Ravaglia, the businessman who elected to ban men from the beach as saying, "This is not a lesbian beach. It is simply for women to be themselves."
Many women visitors on the beach are finding the concept "wonderful to relax, read or doze without hearing some child shouting." Additionally, the beach also offers beauty tips from Marta Magnani, the winner of the Miss Muretto pageant, fitness classes, manicures, pedicures and cookery lessons.
