The man they dubbed the neighborhood's "most wanted graffiti vandal" was handed a 30-count indictment yesterday (January 9) for spray painting his tag "Kiko" throughout the Astoria section of the borough.
Oliver Siandre is being held responsible for a spree of vandilism that went on until his arrest on October 5th. The scourge had been defacing buildings, vehicles and trees across the borough was arrested after becoming the No. 1 target in Councilman Peter Vallone and the 114th Precinct's anti-graffiti crusade.
Siandre had left his mark on at least 50 locations around Queens, including the Powhatan Regular Democratic Club in Long Island City and on a pillar in Astoria's Athens Square Park, prosecutors said.
Before his arrest, Councilman Vallone had even gone on record saying "I want this punk, and I want him bad."
Siandre has been charged with tagging "Kiko" on 15 sites in Queens, resulting in an indictment that carries a maximum seven year jail sentence.
When he was arrested in October, District Attorney Brown named him, "one of New York City 's more notorious graffiti taggers."
