The man who confessed to killing two Bellingham sex offenders says he wants to be executed as soon as possible so he can wait in the afterlife to wreak vengeance on the man whose crimes he said drove him to kill: Joseph Edward Duncan III. In a four-page letter written from the Whatcom County Jail to the Seattle Times, Michael A. Mullen said, "my goal is to beat Joseph Duncan to death (the afterlife), so I can be there when he arrives." Mullen added that he spared the life of a third sex offender because that person showed remorse for his crime, unlike the two that he killed. " I wanted one (person) alive to spread the message that 'we' will not tolerate 'our' children being used and abused."

Duncan faces possible execution in Idaho for allegedly slaying three members of a Coeur d'Alene family so that he could kidnap two children for sex. The awful details of those crimes, Mullen wrote, drove him to commit the crimes he's accused of.

"It made me sick to think of the abuse Dylan suffered before he died. To be discarded like garbage," Mullen wrote. Mullen allegedly used a county sheriff's Sex Offender Notification Web site to create a hit list of Level 3 offenders in Whatcom County. According to prosecutors' charging papers, Mullen - posing as an off-duty FBI agent - went to a Bellingham home shared by the three convicted sex offenders on the evening of Aug. 26.

If these liberal judges did their jobs correctly, then it wouldn't be necessary to take the law into your own hands. A couple of years in prison for destroying a child is not acceptable because talking about rehabilitating these bastards is total nonsense. It can't be done. And the people who make excuses for these sick fucks are just as evil in my opinion. If some monster raped one of my kids the authorities would never find his body.

I hate the fact that kids are being abused, but killing the abuser wont solve any problems.

I guess every killer could come with an argument on why they killed somebody, still doesnt justify taking other peoples lives, no matter the reason in my book.

However, i can see why people are defending him, but he know what he was facing by killing them, and should be punished for doing so.

I feel you Minardi, but it's long been a fantasy of mine to do excatly what this guy did. Where I live (Winnipeg, Canada) our judges give some of the weakest sentences to child rapists. Just recently a guy viciously raped a 4 year old girl. Do you know what his sentence was? 2 years!!!! If I could get my hands on this guy, they'd find pieces of him scattered across the country

Yes, killing the abuser of kids will solve the problem because then they can't hurt any more kids. Some crimes do have circumstances around them that make it a lesser offense. However, find me one single fucking argument from a killer that justifies killing an eight-year-old kid. Excuse making on behalf of the scum of society is a big part of why the judicial system is failing.

I don't agree with people in this thread that are like "Hooray! Good Job!". There was a guy a few months ago on the news around my area who was 19 and went to jail for giving and recieving oral sex from a 16 year old girl. The girl snitched on him and he was given jail time. He's out of jail now, but is a registered sex offender for the rest of his life. He wasn't even a pedophile, but in PC terms, he's labelled that for the rest of his life. And it's all because of a girl who lied about her age. Now think about all of the other people across the nation this has happened to and they end up on the Sex Offender list.

And you guys are saying it's okay to take the law into your own hands and just wreak havoc on sex offenders? Now I understand there are those freaks that should be shot for molesting little children, rapists, etc. But who is to differentiate those guys from a guy who made a mistake once? I am in no way defending any of these guys, but what this guy did, murdering some pedos, is wrong. It's scary. It sheds a whole new light on public access to Sex Offender lists.

PS: For the record, I applaud the dude for being a martyr to this cause. He went about it the wrong way, but child molestation and rape are two major problems that have little to no solution.

That is just pitiful. However, it is never right for someone to take the law into their own hands. Even if the person accepts his fate with the law, it's never ok. Imagine if everyone did this. There would be anarchy. Without a government (as corrupt and unjust as it can be sometimes), your country and all countries would suffer from unspeakable violence, poverty, hunger, etc.

I feel your points Big Easy. Jail time for the situation you were talking about is ridiculous. Just as ridiculous as people getting a slap on the wrist for violently hurting a child under 10 years old. Consensual sex with teenagers is something totally different. I disagree with you though about child molestation not having a solution. If a sicko that is about to stick his dick in a little kid knew that the penalty for committing this heinous crime was death, maybe he would think twice. Also, the judges who unjustly let these fucks out of jail quickly only to have them commit another violent crime against a child need to be held accountable. The stats show that almost all pedophiles are habitual offenders. A just society should do everything it can to protect its' most vulnerable members from the evil that lurks. It is truly sad when people put the rights of a convicted pedophile on par with those of a young rape victim.
