Lil' Wayne arrested for drug possession

Lil’ Wayne got caught slipping and wound up arrested in Atlanta early Monday on charges of drug possession.

The 23-year-old rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, was taken into custody after cops caught him in midtown with several drugs in his possession, police stated.

He was released on bond from the Fulton County Jail after being charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, purchase of a controlled substance and other, minor offenses.

The New Orleans native has five albums under his belt, beginning with 1999’s The Block is Hot. The latest, Tha Carter II, debuted at No. 2 on the album chart and is part of a five-part Carter series.
