Life of Pi

has anyone read this book? I got this quiz next week about this whole entire book and i didnt even open 1 page yet. Should i read it and try my best at completely finishing it? or should i just go to sparknotes.com and scrape up some information together and build an idea...OR, someone here who READ this book can tell me a thing or 2 about it.

It's about a young Chinese girl named Pi whose family moves to America to start a new life. However, their plane crashes and Pi is the only survivor. The island is inhabited by talking farmyard animals, including a cow named "Chocolate Milk". Hilarity ensues.
