If that is true, it might not be a bad trade at all. Sure, Caron Butler is too important compared to Kwame, but Caron never really fit in with the Lakers. Sure, he would score, but you just wouldn't see that chemistry with the teammates. Kwame Brown under Phil might be interesting. Phil could develop him into something good.
