I need to make a kinetic sculpture for my Physics class. I have till June, and I need to demonstrate 3-5 physics laws with it. Can anybody help me out? Links for directions on making them, forums and boards on how-to, etc? I would be grateful.

Sounds like fun but i don't quite understand what you mean with a kenetic sculpture. Maybe i am just too dumb but please explain and go more into details.

A sculpture produced by motion or exhibiting kinesis, I guess that's what he's trying to make. I don't really understand it either.

Ok, I shall help you guys understand better. Like cloud said, it's a sculpure that shows movement. A kinetic sculpture is one that moves, powered by motor, wind, falling water, etc. I have to build a kinetic sculpture that demonstrates 3-5 physics principles. I can use principles from wave, sound, light, optics, electrostatics, electricity, electromagnetism, etc. It has to be made from my own design and fabrication, but I can use commercial parts as well.

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!

we had to do this in gr 11
we made a car using motors
there was:
sound using those musical birthday cards
lights powered by a battery in a circuit (that should cover two of those criteria)
and some other things like turning, reverse, manual gearshift.

^Thanks. Anybody else know any ideas? One idea I know is like a marble run, where you make like a little roller coaster and let marbles run around...

Back in the day, we used to recieve donations sent as cash in fake birthday cards! Those were the days! I still have some of them, actually.
