yo, k, i woke up today and turned my cousins ps3 on, its in the basement where its really cold. so i turn shit on and remove the game, then all of the sudden the fan goes suuuper loud, like a fuckin blowdryer, so i turn i try to turn it off thru the touchpad thing, and it jus keeps and flashing red, wtf. so i jus turned it off from the back and now everything else works fine. Now this is only supposeed to happen when the ps3 gets reaaaallly hot, its happened to before when i accidentally turned it on, and it was in a closed cupboard. So why the hell did this shit go on overdrive fan mode when it was like plus 10 in my basement??? and wtf were those flashing red lights?? did anyone else have this problem, or does anyone have any knowledge on this shiy, if so let me know and tell me if its something i should be worried about.

Hmm thats really weird. I've never had that happen to mine. How old is it? You should probably call Sony if it ever happens again.

i found it wut happened, i held teh eject button when i turned it on from the back, which turns on overdrive fan. i think its the ps's way of cleanin itself
