Aaargh......lol.

I was doing 127 km/hr in a 110 km/hr zone. It was a deserted freeway at 3:00am though...and I was going downhill, lol!

It was supposed to be a $230 fine, but I pulled over straight away and didn't dispute it, so he recorded the speed at 124 km/hr, which meant it's only gonna cost $150. Perhaps the officer was just in a good mood.

The funny thing is, only half an hour before, I had been crapping on to my boyfriend about how I never speed, not even on the freeway.... damn I hate irony!

Times like this the only thing you can do is laugh. :p

My parents' 2000 Toyota Camry. lol. Not even a car that's cool to speed in!

Nah they're a decent car. I thought maybe you were in a Fiat Ciquecento or something :p

Oh yeah, and I dunno if they only do it here, but he asks, "any reason for your speed?" I mean really, what are ya gonna say to that...? stupid.

Man i drive an Altima, not too different from a camry, mine is a 2005 though. And this cop pulled me over the other day and the first thing he said, and the first question he asked me was.
"How can someone like you afford this car."
Annoys me how much shit like this happens. Ever since i got my new car, ive had it since July, I've been pulled over on an avergae at least once every two weeks, weekends it could happen twice in one day though, and im still "ticketless." Shit jsut really annoys me. The idea behind it more than anything.

Yeah. :( They have this thing in Aus where, if you pass your drivers test you have to have a "P" (Provisional license) sign up in your car until you are 19 - so naturally the cops look out for the sign and pull over the young kids and find fault where ever they can, defective parts etc.

But yeah, nice car + young person = suspicion.

what highway was it on?

South Eastern, just near the Hahndorf exit...the place where cameras usually are... d'oh! Who would have thought they'd be out that late, or rather, that early. ;)

Im not young really, well, 19. It's more because of my race, you know that whole new thing going on, white cop, dark skinned kid, its like a new revolution going on.

Damn, you would think society would have learnt better than that by now... Discrimination by race or discrimination by age... it's all the same bullshit really.:(

230$ for 17kmh? wow, thats a lot

the police caught me already 3 times (and i have my license since nov 2003)..
first incident i was driving 17kmh too fast (35 €), then 11kmh(25€) and the last one was 21kmh (60€)...(radar-control)
once they caught me and i had to stop. the officer came and said "u were doing 63 where 50 is allowed. can i see your license please". then i gave him my license and he said
"Mr. **** ?"
"yes, thats me"
"was it your grandfather who built the house for deaf-people?"
"yes, he did"
"ok, then have a nice day"...

:D

I never got a speed ticket so far, but I definatly would deserve one every now and then.
