Joseph "Run" Simmons and his wife Justine recently lost their newborn baby daughter shortly after her birth.
The legendary rapper of Run DMC fame was present at the hospital for the birth last Tuesday (Sept. 19). Run and his wife are popular figures with their reality TV show Run's House on MTV. Justine was pregnant for most of the last series.
Joseph Simmons has now released the following statement.
"On Sept. 26, 2006, Victoria Anne Simmons for some unknown reason chose to come early and unfortunately did not survive. We must accept whatever is there and once you accept unconditionally, then everything is beautiful. Every pain has a purifying effect. So whatever comes your way, just be thankful. We see life in death and believe in the celebration of life in death."
Run's daughter was delivered by C-Section but died shortly after delivery. It is understood MTV cameras were in the hospital, but unclear as to whether they were in the delivery room.
