Just wanted to see how many fans he has out here among rap fans. I figure with his movie come out it might help introduce people to his music who wouldnt listen to it otherwise. Yes he is country but he is old country, back when the shit was real. Hell he was harder than most rappers these days.

yup johnny cash is good... real good. The Man Comes around is one of my favourites. there are a few songs that irritate me but in general he was a great artist and you're exactly right about him and his music. he was deep... real deep.
He had a song on Kill Bill volume 2 too. can't remember what the song was, but it was goooood. People should invest in his greatest hits album. You'll know so many of the songs.

I have a few of his differnt greatest hits. I grew up on this kind of music, thanks to my grandfather. I can not stand to listen to new country music but the old guys I can listen to for hours.

i love johnny cash. my grandfather also turned me onto him. im not big on country music but cash really helped me look at country music in a new light. i can play alot of songs on guitar. they are usually real easy songs to learn. cocaine blues and ive been everywere are some of my favorites to play on my guitar.

i really love how he started working with rick rubin in the early 90's. rubin constently gives me reasons to make him my favorite producer of all time. to hear cash do a nine inch nails cover is almost out of this world. only a combo like cash and rubin could pull that off so well, like they did.
