James Blunt wrote You're Beautiful for
his girlfriend. He even gave her half the
publishing rights of his album which,
unexpectedly, has gone on to sell millions
around the world. Then when he became a
star, the girl got dumped.

Now, when people are trying to license James'
music they are coming up against a brick wall.
The ex-girlfriend is asking for a small
fortune, or she refuses permission

most ridiculous statement i've heard all year. My band just headlined Glastonbury, our major label release in India just hit number 1 over there, one of our songs just went into the new game "Fifa Street 2", we just signed an international deal with a major label and I've had crazy fans knocking on my door and following me around everywhere, not to mention girls in the front row flashing me every time we do a gig.

have i dumped my fiancee? no.

James Blunt is a complete moron for giving her any kind of rights over his music though. That's just the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
