Is the eco car the way to go?

Seeing as how you make extremely generalized remarks and statements, I can't be held responsible if I make just assumptions. So I guess before I can reply to your recent statement, I have to ask you to clarify some things you said...so here I go.

You said "Hybrids is what it's about. There are already commercial products out there. That's undeniable. People are buying them. That's undeniable. They work. That's undeniable too."

The part were you said "They work," what do you mean by that?

Then you said, "What we're going to see are more and more hybrids. Not necessarily now. But the manufacturers know there is a market for this. Take Toyota and Lexus f.e., they're seriously working on it."

First off I'd like to mention that lexus is toyota. Like chevy is gm, and mercury is ford.

Simply that, they work. They are effective in their class.

The people that make such cars realize there are plenty of people who would buy such cars. There's a market for it. A potentially very big market as well. It's simple economics as you can see.



My general point is, although perhaps chewed out, we can't keep on going like this forever with fossil reserves. It will eventually wear out. And it can't hurt to start soon enough with developing new ways. Car manufacturers realize that, and some try to make an effort. Of course they're still profit-first companies, but they're not the half-satan you're trying to portray them as such. Perhaps, even deeper sought, they realize that such a progressive image may be very good for sales...
