Is is true theres no "13th floor" in some US buildings?

Dont ya label me a ignorant, but a lot of people says that there arent any 13th floor on US` buldings, it just goes from 12-14, and that´s because americans fear number 13.

Is this true?

there are no 13th floors. this isn't due to "fear" - rather it is an architectural tradition that was spawned from the number being unlucky. going from 12 to 14 is just a tradition.

See in the US you label the ground floor as the first floor. Where as really the 1st floor is up the stairs. You label this as the second floor.

So you see the 14th floor is actually the 14th floor and floors 1-12 are wrong. They should be subtracted by 1.

In this part of the world there no 4th 14th etc floors there replace them with 3A 14A etc.

I even once called someone from my friends but he didnt pick up because the number ended with 4 4 4 4 lol. Some people are losing money because they are afraid to pick up phone calls.
