Ok one of my mates is getting abuse on a message board which is hosted by Dreamhost, i was wondering is there any software that is able to find out what IP posted what message?? Some guy on some other website was able to track people if they posted a message up so i know its possible but i cant find anything at all.

PS: Im not guna hack him just want to know who it is thats all

No, not that I know of. Only the admins can see that kind of information.

set your computer up as an http server,then send dude an email with a pic embedded(html not attachment),as soon as he opens the email,his ip will be logged on your end(bcuz of ur http server).
