3. A duck's quack doesn't echo. No one knows why.
Untrue.

13. Leonardo da Vinci invented scissors. Also, it took him 10 years to paint Mona Lisa's lips.
Both untrue.

15. The original name for the butterfly was "flutterby"!
Untrue.

19. The first product to have a bar code was Wrigley's gum.
Not quite. It was the first commercial product to be scanned by a barcode reader.

20. The first owner of the Marlboro Company died of lung cancer.
Untrue. No such thing as "the Marlboro Company". Two actors who played the "Marlboro Man" mascot did die of lung cancer.

22. Marilyn Monroe had six toes on one foot.
Untrue.

23. Adolf Hitler's mother seriously considered having an abortion but was talked out of it by her doctor (the dr was jewish)
Probably not. The "Jewish doctor" thing is also a late addition to an old urban legend.

24. The three most valuable brand names on earth: Marlboro, Coca-Cola, and Budweiser, in that order.
Untrue. Coca-Cola, Microsoft and IBM, in that order.

25. "Stewardesses" is the longest word that can be typed with only the left hand.
Untrue, since you can press any keys on the keyboard with your left hand.

30. The "pound" (#) key on your keyboard is called an octothorp.
It's called that by some, but usage is rare.

34. "Dreamt" is the only word in the English language that ends in "mt".
Untrue. Amt. And Undreamt, if you want to cheat.

35. It's impossible to sneeze with your eyes open.
You'd have to forcibly keep your eyelids from closing. Difficult, but not impossible. Sneezing with your eyes open wouldn't cause your eyes to fly out of their sockets, either.

39. Yo-Yos were once used as weapons in the Philippines.
Untrue.

40. Coca-Cola can be used as car oil.
Untrue. Well it could, but it wouldn't do the job.

46. It's against the law in Iceland to have a dog.
It is in the capital, Reykjavik. You can pay a fee to own a dog, and there is an annual march of dog owners.

35. It's impossible to sneeze with your eyes open.

14. I am faster than Bruce Lee ever was.

34. Promt is legitimate spelling of "prompt" and also has slightly different meanings.

35. Although uncomfortable and even sometimes painful, I have no problem sneezing with my eyes open.

Yo-Yos were once used as weapons in the Philippines

this is true (actually, this was the one i m most sure about)

25. "Stewardesses" is the longest word that can be typed with only the left hand.

Yo-Yos.net said:
Another popular but fabricated story of the yo-yo is that of a centuries old Filipino weapon. The story is about an assailant in a tree with a heavy oversized yo-yo waiting for a victim to pass below. At the critical moment the yo-yo would be hurled at the victim’s head presumably rendering him unconscious. A near miss would still allow the assailant a second opportunity. Physics of the yo-yo make the story improbable. Although there is no question that the toy existed in the Philippines for centuries, as a popular toy, there is no documented evidence that it was ever used as a jungle weapon. The story was popularized by Duncan yo-yo demonstrators in the ‘30s, many of whom were from the Philippines. It was a great story and helped to sell yo-yos, but it has been repeated so often that it has become an urban legend.
Yo-Yos.net

i don't know anything about assaillants in a tree...
the reason why I am so sure about the yoyo being used as a weapon is because i know a master in martial arts and he showed me how it could be used in some fighting technique. It's an incredibly accurate and efficient weapon, especially when fighting several opponents at the same time.

what your quote says is that "physics of the yoyo make this story improbable" but when i saw it actually being used, i can't really agree with this argument.

2. A raisin dropped in a glass of fresh champagne will bounce up and down continuously from the bottom of the glass to the top.

Gotta try that one day.

25. "Stewardesses" is the longest word that can be typed with only the left hand.

Actually, this is very true. All the letters of 'stewardesses', are on the left side of the keyboard. So if you type the correct way with both hands on the home keys - left hand on the left side, right hand on the right side, not fingers scattered all over the place- then you will see that this is in fact true.

lol i remember bein with my friends in wood shop class in school and fuckin i noticed the YKK shit on my zipper so i was like yo wtf is this shit and my friend had it too and we were fuckin around slappin kids in the head that didnt have YKK on their zippers lol i never knew what that shit was or meant.
