"Indy wrestler Dan Quirk, who wrestled under the name Spider, passed away last night after injuries occurred when catching an opponent hitting a moonsault while working for Ultimate Championship Wrestling in Taunton, Massachusetts. According to several reports, he took the full brunt of his opponent's weight, causing Quirk to crash to the floor headfirst. Quirk was out immediately with blood visible after he hit the floor. The match was immediately halted and an ambulance was called. Efforts to revive Quirk were unsuccessful. He was only 22 years old.

PWInsider.com would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Dan "Spider" Quirk."

That some sad news right there. I never seen the guy wrestle but I hate to hear stories like this. These guys put their lives on the line, the majority of them for no or little money, for no reward but a lifetime of pain and injuries, but they do it because they love wrestling. Yet people still have the nerve to call this business that I love "fake" and say things like "They never really get hurt" Well if you think that then fuck you!

I wonder what his opponent must be thinking.

R.I.P Spider

All this just days after the 6th anniversary of Owens death :(
