It's cool, but fuck all that. I'd rather call people myself. Check my email myself, etc.
it's like the most pointless thing I have ever seen.

Don't flatter yourself as a businessman on the go, dude. That's so far out there.
It's also a lame attempt to save your thread that no one cares about![]()
Can you picture this device to be any more useful than a standard mobile phone with a loudspeaker?
I don't think you understand what this device does. It's not a substitute for a phone, it's an addition to it.
iLane lets you control your smartphone by using voice commands. It lets you open, listen to, and respond to email entirely hands-free. Plus, iLane lets you access and control lots of other smart phone applications, including phone and calendar.
all hands-free.

uhm.. my phone does have voice commands - I can use voice commands to run any application or dial/answer a call. I can either set it to recognize voice after pressing a button or without doing it. Of course it won't write a message. This device you posted won't do this too unless you like your business partners to get retarded-looking emails in best case.
If it comes to reading your messages loud there are shitloads of mobile apps that do it. Even the most basic version of opera browser does have a function for it.
Considering that this device will cost some money it's probably one of those things you'll buy only if you're a retard wannabe businessman who doesn't know how to make use of his phone/pda properly.
"Owning an iLane is like having a personal assistant in the car."
Does it suck my dick too?
