Tha Dova.
So yesterday I put in my two week notice and went ahead and quit today. No one even talked to me about the two week notice. They did not say a word about it. They don't even give a fuck. I cannot deal with these people anymore. UPS is the worst company is history to work for. I gave up ALOT of money a month and great insurance. I just can't do it anymore. I am very educated, I have my associates, A+ certification, and Network+ certification. You are better off at UPS if you only graduated highschool. You will get the 50,000+ jobs. It's just pathetic. I wasted nine years of my life when I could have been at a company that actually has job opportunities and doesnt hire unqualified kiss asses or hires from outside the company to take all the jobs.

I recently got a part-time job at Nike about a month ago while I was working at UPS. The people are great and we really have fun at work. They don't pay much but they have great job opportunities. The only problem is you can't get insurance until you have worked there a year or you are full-time. Sometimes you just have to move on in life. I thought I would retire from UPS. I mean, nine years is a long time to work for a company. I can't have a job where I wake up and don't want to ever go and hate every minute I am there. Alot of people think it was a bad decision but I don't really care. I would rather be happy than be pissed off everyday. My spending days are over for a minute or until I get a full-time job at nike which hopefully will be less than a year. All my money will go to bills for the first time in my life. For the first time in my life I won't be able to buy what I want when I want. The moral of the story is I'm fucked for right now but atleast I'll be happy.

you seemed to really hate that job, it is probably for the better. i'm sure things will work out for you in the end. good luck with nike, i hope they allow you more opportunities to advance than ups.

i've noticed that sometimes companies will keep you in a position that you dont want to be in and would like to get out of, and not let you advance as long as it works out good for them and is beneficial to the company, i hate that shit.

id say you made the right choice man

better to have a little money and enjoy the Nike job than to have whatever you want but dread waking up in the morning

hope it all works out for you in the end man. wish you the best. pz

I agree with you man, I think it's gonna be a bit hard on you... and I think sometimes money is infact important, but nothing is as important as your happiness... because extra money to buy a few extra things won't make you happy in the long run... I think you did the right choice, and people might say you made the wrong one because now you have less money... but fuck that, as long as you feel free and happy... you're doing just fine

i worked for them for 3 days as sorter/loader when they opened near me, load of shit, mate has worked there bout a year and they still fuckin his pay up

good thing i seen this, i had an interview with them and had to decide between UPS and another job.
been through all that b.s with my last job so i know how it is man
good luck and hope everything works out for ya

Thats good you got out of UPS, theres a UPS in Toledo too. I have heard that its not a great place to work at. a lot of bending an twisting your body, an if you fall behind on your job you get written up. When its hot out your sweating your ass off you go home so tired you dont have time to do anything else.

Those places dont give 2 Shits that your quitting, your just another number to them Assholes. you leave they'll bring in someone else.

I feel what you're saying. You definitely did a good move, ain't no need to stay at a job that you hate and kills you. Nine years is long as fuck. Good luck with future job opportunities.

I was actually a supervisor, but yeah the hourlys get treated like shit and worked to death.

You made the right decision. No sense wasting your time and efforts on people and jobs that don't appreciate it. We usually get set in our ways, bound by our perspectives, and stuck in our thinking. But unless we're willing to change, unless we're willing to expand and enlarge our vision, we'll miss the opportunities life has for us.

Too many times we get stuck in a rut, thinking we've reached our limits. "But if I leave I won't make as much money and I'll lose all my seniority, so i can't leave." Thoughts like that hold us back.

The fact that you walked away from this shows that you're ready to go to a higher level, to enlarge your vision and get rid of those old negative mind-sets that hold you back. What you think and keep before your eyes will affect you. You will produce what you're continually seeing in your mind. If you foster an image of just settling for something safe, of mediocrity, then you're going to live that kind of life. But if you develop an image of success, health, abundance, joy, peace, and happiness, nothing on earth will be able to hold those things from you.

It's important that you program your mind for success. That won't happen automatically. Each day, you must choose to live with an attitude that expects good things to happen to you. Start your day with expectancy, and then go out anticipating good things. Expect circumstances to change in your favor. Expect to be at the right place at the right time. Life usually meets us at our level of expectancy. If all you expect is more of the same, that's all you're going to have. Our expectations set the boundaries for our lives.

The best days of your life are ahead of you.

Change is good and i'm sure you'll find another job, or maybe Nike will make you FT..

You shouldnt have quit though! At least get fired so that way you can collect unemployment. 8 months of 300 bucks a week (or whatever your eligible for) for not doin shit aint bad! Plus it helps while your looking for another job.

But good luck!
