why? i dunno. i stopped weed cause its kinda slightly ruining my short term memory(not really), and iv seen the negative side of it, like friends whos lives are fucked cause they just smoke all day. and i stopped drinking for the fuck of it, cause i figure your better of without it and live healthier and find other things to occupy time with.
another reason, i went out with friends the other week to get pissed and smoke weed and i thought, ill try to go the whole night without smoking or drinking, which is unusual for me, and as the night went on everyone got drunker and drunker and i was remaining sober for the 1st time and it kinda felt good and i went home prety happy with myslef. cause im usualy the one that ends up passed out puking in the neighbours pool. so i went home then got up earlly the next morning and had a real good day, which ususlay i would be pretty hungerover and sleep the day. its much more fulfilling not drinking id reccomend it.

Drinking isnt bad for you if you dont go over board. And going out to clubs, pubs or parties without drinking fucking sucks so I hope you've given up your social life too.

The key is to drink but know your limits.

But props for trying to make a change.

You don't "just" quit drinking and smoking. That shit's a process. If you can consistently resist temptation for six months, then you can talk about you decided to quit six months ago, but now? Nope. There's work ahead.

well jesus dude, you'e 18 years old. when i was 18 i was having fun, not getting shit faced. it's biology that the younger you start (especially with drugs that cross the blood brain barrier) the more potential damage your substance abuse will cause. when your brain has matured (usually between 16-18) then you run less of a risk. really, people who are less than 19 shouldn't be getting fucked up repeatedly. it will come back to haunt you, trust me. i've dealt with the aftermath professionally for well over 5 years now.

nah cause im kinda over that scene. not all my frinends hang out in clubs and bars every weekend and im into other stuff besides going out,iv been drinkin since about 15 and the best parties have passed, im kinda over drinking, i used to be heap's keen to get drunk at every opputunity but now im 18 i think iv been to the liquor store once in 6 months. club's are overrated anyway every week its the same old same, i kinda feel sorry for alot of dudes. work 5 days, clubbin on the weekend, work 5 days, clubbin on the weekend, etc. and i still go to the pub every couple of week's and play pool, (its better when not drinking cause i play drunks for money, lol)

well if I look at your other threads I don't think u ever started living this lifestyle. Don't get me wrong it's the right thing to do, but how can you talk about making it over the scene? You never been in. It's good, but u never REALLY smoked. Still a good thing if u can do it.

all i gotta say is u crazy. those r the 2 things that keep me alive

lol, jsut cause it keeps you alive it doesn't mean it doesn't hurt him. Nope, I have respect for every man/women that recognizes if something/someone isn't doing you good but harm and is able 2 change it. Devil si right too, there's work ahead but guys, it depens on his mind. Maybe he has a strong mind and if he says he stops there is no way he won't do it. If so, he already stopped. Anyway, keep going man.

I quit drinking on april 10th and aint drunk since. I felt amazin for the first few weekends (i never got hangovers but i would feel completely different all weekend than what i was used to)

Thats the longest i've went since i was about 15. Only 19 now. Still smoking the good stuff tho

I quit drinking about 2 years ago. I still drink on occasion, but that's just like once every 2 months or so, and I rarely get shit faced. I used to get shit faced every weekend like you. Now I have more control over it. Which is a great feeling. Good luck on your endeavor mate.

I quit smoking weed also. Havent done it for many months now.

Still drink though, and don't plan on stopping that.

Congratz though!
