A much better and more complete way is through body language, it's near impossible to supress, the movements are much more obvious and if you understand it well enough you can tell whether it's a blatant lie or an exaggeration etc. Understanding body language is also a great tool for pickin up girls and knowing whether people actually wanna talk to you.
