Ya'all know how rude some customers can be, right? Nothing is too rude for some people. Some people will ignore everything you're saying, and others will talk on their cellphones right in your face while you're helping them.

Here's the story:

At my pharmacy, we have a drive-through so people can quickly pick up their prescriptions. One day, this girl about 20 years old comes through and is talking on her cellphone while I am helping her. I get pissed and I ask her "Where do you work? I'll stop by, come through the drive through, and talk on the cellphone." She looks at me and says "Oh, its considered disrespectful when you talk on the cellphone?"

What an idiot! Of course its disrespectful to talk on the cellphone while someone is helping you. Anyone who works in a store can testify to this. I can't believe the nerve they have.

I bet I am the only one here who had enough courage to talk back to a customer. Its not a position you want to put yourself in, but we can't let them walk all over us.

All of hate their actions, but none of us tell them to stop.

I feel you, i hate people like that. I own a shop that sells rims and shit and this guy was having some problems so i took the time out to talk to him and shit when i really didnt have to , we dont offer a warrentee thats the factorys job. But im on the phone with him and this guy puts me on hold for 5 minutes. I thought it was an important call or something so when he gets back on the line with me i say we can do this another time if you have to go do something (regarding the call) and he says "nah that was my mom asking me what i wanted to have for dinner" I dont usually get pissed off especially on the phone but i blew up on that guy. Shit pissed me off  Then that guy has the nerve to come to my shop asking to talk to the owner to get me fired (im the owner).

I hate that shit. That happens where I work all the time. I am a manager at KFC and people do this on a daily basis in our drive-thru. Then they can't even order right cause they too busy on that phone. And they get to the window and don't even have their money ready and lookin at us like we're the ones that should wait on them. I've even had someone pull up to the speaker and tell me to hold on and they talking on the phone, not just for a second, but they sitting there talking away. So I politely told em that if they didn't mind could they pull over til they got through with their phone call. We don't allow our crew members to do stuff like that but as a manager, I can get away with it. Sometimes I just wanna say....you know, you might could get it right if you'd get off that damn phone.

Revolting. It's already sad that people start to lose their manners over the phone and especially the internet (the pimpliest geek has the biggest mouth), but when its happening on a personal its really something.

im not exactly a saint, but i treat every person with respect and proper manners, be it on the phone or face to face. i'd like to punch people like these customers you two mentioned in the cohones or titties for being whack-asses.

you own a rim shop dude? you a car enthusiast? it would explain the immaculate impala. :)

Its an "auto performace shop" but really all i sell is rims and those loud ass mufflers. Thats where the money is. I would like to own a lowrider shop but theres no money in that. Yea i like cars but old cars i dont really like these new cars. New European cars are pretty nice but new American cars are a joke :(/

I feel you man. I never had the cellphone thing happen, but i've had plenty of fuckface customers. People can be annoying as fuck. Wanna know what was funny as fuck though? You know when you go to like Wal-Mart and you see people walk out the doors and the buzzer goes off? A few times I had to be the person that looks in the persons bags to see what made it go off. To be honest, most of the people didn't really get mad. Those that did I just told them to go and I avoided the bullshit. That's just how I am. It's either I just let them go or I argue with them and I wasn't about to lose my job.

i use to work at a macys in the womens shoe dept. we were always busy and not a day went buy when a customer didnt do something that just made them look like the dumbest bitch in the world. the ones that were very weathly, and have traveled all around the world were the customers that pissed me off the most. they expected us to wait on them hand and foot.

i would usualy just work the counter checking people out. so i got ALL THE BULLSHIT. people on their phones would piss me off so much. i would always have line 5-10 deep, and people would just yak off too the other end, holding up my line, making my ass wait for them too pay. when you need to ask them a question or thier is some problem with their credit card, they get so pissed when they have to get off the phone for 5 mins to yell at you cause they cant pay their bill. some people do understand that they are being rude and actually apologize.

i never have a problem talking back when i know i'm right , but i wont be rude for the sake of being rude or cause someone is being rude to me. it never makes me feel any better afterwards.

i feel ya on the muffler thing. i hate people who do that, slap em on civics, or other simple cars without any other performance upgrade. the exhaust is big enough for a jet fighter, makes more noise than a hungry oprah winfrey but the damn car is still slow. it's sad. and then have the nerve to claim they "tuned" their car.

its a direct slap in the face of the serious performance tuning scene.

but yeah, like you said, they're being bought. so make yerrrrr money.

this is going waaay off topic tho so ill shut up and catch some much needed sleep (the first in 36 hours, weeeeeeee)

I don't see how that's rude. All she's trying to do is get her medication and get on her way and give you the damn money. Her job ain't to make you feel special by giving you fricking eye contact. You were disrespectful by making a sarcastic remark.

:D.

I have to admit that I talk on my phone a lot of the time when I'm being served at shops and stuff. I'd never do what the guy done to Haunted, but I do tend to speak while I'm on the move.

The thing is my phone never stops ringing. I get over 100 calls a day. So I need to answer it. I still say thanks to the shop assistant when I'm done. But I need to take some calls.

I was rude on purpose.

The problem with talking on your cellphone while someone is helping you is that you're completely neglecting the other person. While we're asking you questions and trying to serve you, you're speaking on your cellphone. That other person can wait a minute.

We are there to serve you. If you don't want to be served, get away from us till you're ready. Appreciate our customer service by showing us some respect.

It is very disrespectful to ignore someone while they're talking to you.

Is your time money? Unless you're a busy businessman, you can take a take a minute break from your calls. Your friends, girlfriends, and parents don't have to talk to you for every second of the day. Its not like you'll die if you don't speak to them for a short moment.

Look, are you saying that if the customer is talking on the cell phone, you're unable to help them? If so, they wouldn't be talking on the cell phone, because they want the help. Therefore, you can still do your job and they can still talk on the cell phone. It's not like you're giving the person an interview, you're giving him/her a bottle of Aspirin. I know they're not being the most respectful, but it's not like they're making your job much harder. Now, let me break this down. Dude, you're a pharmacist. In the "real world", there is no reason to respect you or your job, homie.
