Brief history:

Gates purchased Dos for $10 from a friend.
Apple purchased GUI OS from Xerox.
Apple hired Gates to develope from the Xerox prototype.
While he was doing that he developed his on system which is now known as windows.
Gates actually owns part of Apple and is really one of Jobs best friends.
Alot of Microsoft software is ported for Mac's by Microsoft.
