Right now I'm watching a program in which Guy Fawkes' failed gunpowder plot will be recreated, for fun, to see what would have happened.
This seem a little morbid to anyone else? Recreating a bomb attack, to see what might have happened had it not been foiled? Will people in the future be recreating the 1993 WTC attack, to see what would have happened if the North Tower had fallen?
Why do we view Guy Fawkes as a bit of a folk hero, the Gunpowder Plot as a nice story, rather than a terrorist attack?
