Hello my loyal StreetHopers. My first time here since Feb 1st!
Firstly, business; is the board fucking up (other than server busy errors which I will look into when I have some time)? The reason I am here now is because of some database error reports that just flooded my inbox.
Secondly, you will not see me on here too much, definitely not in the capacity that I was before. I pass the baton of "the man" over to Pittsey, Google banners are now also his so please continue to click them to thank him for his hard work.
I will continue to host the site and take care of business and run site things, but not really the forum, although any major decisions, such as new admins or super mods for example, will still run through me. Speaking of super mods and mods, I will be doing a review of the past month later today and cleaning house if need be.
DJ Tek will also be more involved in the business side of things as we develop into a new way of doing things, and Amara will continue to do her job.
As for Rukas, well, Rukas is dead. The old way of doing things is dead, but Rukas Mar and Michael are better than ever. I've cut out a lot of things holding me back in life and unfortunately, in terms of time constraints, running the day to day activity of StreetHop was one of them. I am rarely home and only net from work, and (*shock*) have work to do at work!
Australians, the label/album launch will be in late June or early July at Sol Bar in Glenelg, South Aust. A national tour will follow, which will probably end on an extreme high at the Falls festival. We have national distribution so where ever you are you'll be able to cop the CDs we're about to flood the market with second half of 2006. If you ever see us doing a show in your city, or opening for international acts, drop me a line and I will hook you up with VIP.
I will still go to Vegas in Sept, as I will be in LA August anyway, and will then go to Europe but only for about a month.
In regards to keeping in touch with me, I will not be checking new PMs, nor the 500+ sitting in my inbox right now, please do not PM me. If you're someone I want contacting me, you should already know how to do it.
I'd like to thank the whole community for being here for the better part of a decade, and I will pop in now and then as a normal poster, I just cant deal with the responsibilities that come with babysitting some of you at this point in my life; so instead I choose to use my limited time to build the business side of things.
I hope everyone is well and successful in 2006, and most importantly, I wish you all happiness and respect for the future.
