Fucking Vegetarians

i shall. So many people have been helping me prepare for this. i've had ex's and friends volunteering to help me cook it's great. Everybody knows that i only cook for people i like and everybody knows i haven't done it for a year so everybody is helping me make it special.

I was thinking of cooking some fresh bread (getting a bread maker) and set it up so it goes off just before we start eating (it smells awesome) so we can have it with the pumpkin soup.

For desert i'd probably do the smoothie and chocolate strawberries (need one more thing but i haven't thought of it yet)

for the dinner itself, alot of people have given me suggestions. I'm still thinbg about everything else. Mind you i'll have a busy week so everything is going to be done on saturday and the oven in the apartment is busted so i'm going to have to go home, cook a few of the things and bring it back here.

still welcoming ideas...

I need some advice.

I'm cooking for a date in 7 days and i love doing the whole cooking thing but i hate it when i'm limited to vegetarian dishes because some fucking people decided that it's unnatural to eat meat... IF IT WAS FUCKING UNNATURAL THEN WHY ARE U TAKING FUCKING IRON TABLETS TO MAKE UP FOR THE LACK OF IRON...

The only things i know how to cook which are vegetrain are:
Pumpkin Soup
Quiche (sp?)
Creamy cheese vegetables
salads.

i can make pasta but i know for a fact that she doesn't like pasta so that takes out vegetarian lesagnia as well

I was thinking, some hot pumpkin soup with bread to start off with.
the main will have quiche, creamy cheese vegetables a few other things which i need your help with and some salad. and then desert which i'll need help with since i want to do something that isn't so creamy to end with.

You sir, are very weird.

It's impossible that she doesn't like pasta. Vegetarians have to eat pasta or they're fucked.

I was going to say spaghetti with pesto sauce, but that's out of the question.

Look up vegetarian pizza, or even tofu (it's tastes like chicken, but it's all natural). Something with Soya (Soja) is also a good choice for vegetarians.

Good luck dude.

It can be horrible cooking for a vegetarian at times, especially if they hate pasta...

I was a veggie for 8 years, then suddenly i thought fuck this nonsence, went to BK and scopped a double bacon cheeseburger! mmmmmmmmmm

I think it was smoking way to much hash got me thinking it was wrong to be munching on meat.

yay ur taking my idea. :)

u must really like this gurl..you going thru awful lot to impress/or give her a meal of a lifetime homie.

on a lighter note..if she doesnt put out after you doing all this hard work...punch in the stomach and make her throw it all back up.
hehe jk

veggie chili is one of my favorite dish's to make when I am around veggies. Oh and you can never go wrong serving hummus as an appetizer when veggies are around. I have a great recipe for hummus if you would like it.

There is a vegetarian in my house but it doesnt limit our meals much. We use a lot of Jamie Oliver recipes, he uses a lot of herbs and spices to make vegetables interesting and tasty but best of all, its not difficult. Also vegetable curries, stirfries, things like that are easy to make without using meat. Soup isnt a bad idea Salar but sometimes thats better in winter. An antipasto platter is good for an entree but not everyone likes that. One of my favs that mum (the vego) makes is spanakopita - spinach and cheese triangles, with lots of fetta.

well an update on everything,
Just finished the dinner date. We had a fucking great time. I really do like her and whether we stay friends or something more happens doesn't really bother me, i just want her to be a part of my life.

So i ended up cooking and using alot of the ideas

for entree we had:
Pumpkin soup
with freshly made bread (i brought over a bread maker, smells awesome)

Main meal was:
Fried rice
Creamy cheese vegetables
Quiche

Desert was:
Chocolate covered strawberries
Mango smoothie (which turned out shit house so i didn't serve it)
Jelly (which by this time we we were too full to have)

Tea/coffee:
A selection of Musket and Chocolate tea. These teas i get are really expensive but is very nice stuff.

A run down of the night:
She came over and all day i was cooking and cleaning. We sat down and talked for a bit, caught up. Then i served the soup (forgot about the bread) but neither of us really wanted any anyway.
We sat back down and talked, gave her a tour of the hosue, caught up some more. She tried on some of my twins shoes on. Served the main, and talked some more. While eating the chocolate strawberries on the couch we put on Chicago and i introduced her to word rage on my mac and well we were sort of talking, plyaing and watching at the same time. We went on the balcony and chilled out for a bit. And she got her at 7, left here at 12:40 and overall it was an awesome awesome night.

Anyway that's all. Thanks to everyone who helped out. She's volunteered to cook for me so yay to that. She'll come over sometime in 2-3 weeks time and cook for me.

Hoorah

Anyway thanks to all that helped

You've heard of Jamie Oliver 'Down Under'? Please, take him. We don't want him. We'll swap him for Steve Irwin and/or Alan Fletcher.

Sure, I'll take him - right into my kitchen, lol! Take Irwin, Fletcher and hey I'll throw in Harold from Neighbours as well to seal the deal.

^^ No, Harold is an Australian Icon and super hero, you cant take him! Think of all the good he does for the Salvation Army, they'd be nothing without Harold!

Anyway, glad it all went well Salar, lol at the word game, hopefully she wasnt put off by your crappy spelling. ;)
