I have this friend, haven't seen her in 6-8 months cause she was out of the country. She comes back, she meets me and she brings me to her crappy elementary school get together where I don't know anybody. She tells me we won't stay long but then a couple of minutes later she's like "Oh well if you wanna go it's okay, I'll call you tomorrow". I am so pissed off and so not answering her phone calls tomorrow.

Fuck that, she was broke so I was going to even pay her a coffee, or a meal or whatever but now fuck that. She'll wait until she has money to see me.

but seriously, yeah i've had friends do similar things. only we went to a party and it was mainly my friends, but he had just gotten back from iraq so i was tryin to introduce him to ppl. instead he just sat there the whole time, keeping to himself. then he kept complaining that he wanted to leave, and i rode up there with him, so i had to leave too. really ruins the occassion.
i kept givin him more chances to be normal but sometimes you have to give up on ppl, too stuck in their ways. you might need to give up on your friend.

no i dont think carmi's selfish..i'd feel bad too if that happened to me too cuz it sounds like carmis friend changed her mind right on the spot about hanging with carmi..and to me it kinda sounded like that when her friend said "u dont have to wait anymore" or whatever...her friend was actually saying 'hey, i want u to leave but i dont have the guts to be that forward with you"....thats what it sounds like to me...and to me thats selfish.....

I can see how you would be upset but maybe you could have made more of an effort to have a good time while you were at the school. She probably had a lot of friends to catch up with.

Just tell her when you talk to her instead of ignoring her...bc that's not gonna fix it. She won't know what she did wrong and that's really no reason to break a friendship.
