well the argument that rappers have is that they took a negative word and in a way made it positive.

Depends on how u look at it , i dont use the term but not sure how to look at it. Its differenet time then then 40s and 50s.

Never ever going to happen, and really shouldn't have to either. The author is trying to make the argument that black people should stop calling each other nigga because it's in essence a hateful word when it's really not anymore. Just because it sounds the same as the word nigger did when said during lynchings and such doesn't even really make it the same word since the connotations and meanings attached to the word are so different these days. People find the strangest things to bitch about some times.
