Easy:

Antispyware=avast
Firewall=sygate
spyware removers=spybot adaware and the new microsoft one whitch protects you all the time.

Have all those and your protected, also back up now and again.

Nice helpful reply there, seeing as your profile says IT technicain couldnt you atleast help the person or is your internet ego at stake?.

Help the person? Why don't you ask the person what I did to get his PC back to normal last night, took me until 3am if you must know. And 'amatuer', I was refering to your silly choice of 'virus stoppers'. You just havent got enough, nor are they good. Cha'mone and a COWABUNGA!

First of all, moron, you claim you know what your talking about virus wise, yet embarrass yourself by installing FREE (and crappy) virus software. Not only that, but a brainless twat like yourself hasent got the sheer common sence to download a cracked expensive good virus/trojan checker. I've tried a lot of different virus checkers in my time to know the one's you use suck. Plus, Ive seen no mention of your firewall, so not only do you have crap virus checkers but you have nothing stopping virus attacks.

It sounds to me (and probably a lot more people) that the only virus' you have an education on are the one's you use as excuses to stop off school to browse through some p*rn. Amateur.

you know what, i formatted my pc about 3 weeks ago and just the other day i noticed that everything is still stored on the hard drive in a folder under the old name of my computer.

For example i go to "start", "my computer", "c:\", "documents and settings", "owner.levendi", lets say this is my computer name now, before the format it was "owner.levendi21", now this levendi21 folder is still on the pc and has everything i had saved previously, like 5gig of music which i thought i had lost due to the format. Im guessing windows xp backs everything up automatically like the system restore or something. Weird.

It worked out good though cause I have all that music back again, maybe the dude who had his pc formatted could check it out on his system.

^but only works with SP2 right?

Firewall=Agnitum OUtpost Pro 2.5
AV = F-Prot
Spyware = Adaware Pro, The microsoft one if u got XP

all gotta be 'paid' for, but worth it.

not for me then :(...ahh well, does it actually work? ive never really trusted microsoft for security shit?
