Ford Introduces It's Version of Chrysler 300

This shit is hot!! I don't even like Ford's and I am a huge 300 fan...this might be better.

Ford will use the Detroit auto show in just over a week to showcase an all-new concept car called the Interceptor. Built on a stretched version of the Mustang platform, the car offers a preview of a four-door rear-wheel drive sedan to compete with the Chrysler 300.



"The Ford Interceptor concept is a pure sedan that speaks to performance car lovers everywhere," said Freeman Thomas, director, North American Strategic Design. "These people might need more space, but they still appreciate the power and attitude that cars like this represent."



Under the hood is a 400 horsepower 5.0-liter V-8 Cammer engine, capable of running on E-85 ethanol. Overall length is 201.6 inches, while wheelbase is 120.8 inches. The car features a number of safety features, including four-point seat-belts and inflatable rear belts. It rides on 22-inch wheels and a solid rear axle.

That car is fucking gay. Ford is a joke, they make a design that obviously copies the Chrysler 300, except two or three years too late. Plus their car looks worse, and the front end looks like it came right off of a Chevy truck. So much for innovation.

it looks good from the side, otherwise its pretty ugly. i like that it does come with 400hp. id rather take the lincoln mkr concept. looks better and comes with a 415hp twin turbo V6.

do you mean looks wise? or the name? cause they dont look alike save for the back. and ford had the name 500 ever since the 50s.

It's very...American. I sure hope Ford doesn't follow Chrysler's footsteps in saving money on the brakes, as they did with the 300. Only thing that car had going for it was the looks and the pricetag. Even the "new" Hemi block was pretty tame.
