Some people here seem to think I hate America. They also believe I know nothing about America.

My response to this: LMAO

Im 1/4 American, My step father is American, my mother lives in America, most of my direct family live in America, I have more pure blooded Americans in my family than I do Brits. I spent most my life living between America and the UK, I lived on American airbases around the world for 5 years. Tell me I know nothing about America.

And I do not hate America, I love America, I love everything I look at in America, I love the smell of America, I love American people.

I hate the UK, not America, I hate living in this shit hole, I hate living in this overpriced socially retarded fucking country.

But I will make this point clear, I will all ways bitch about America and American citizens because you piss me off when you bitch about stuff, you don't realise how fucking good you have it when every fucker else in the world has to struggle.

Oh jesus. Look, I don't know anything about you really. All I know is it's fucking annoying when people constantly point fingers at the US. If one idiot does something wrong, point the finger at him. Or if it's a group, them. If you see someone complain, bitch at them. I've never EVER complained about gas prices to be honest. It's what it is and I pay for it, simple as that. I'm not the type of person that's gonna bitch about that. Unforunately, there are people that do it every day, but that's them. It's just ridiculously annoying to see foreigners point fingers at america as a whole. Sorry to say it, but it just makes you guys look dumber than you think we are. See what i'm saying? That whole "America Sucks" and/or "We're better than America" attitude is played out. I'm not even one of those "proud to be american" type people either. Not even close. I'm not very patriotic and that probably won't change. I live in a country with a bunch of scumbags mixed in with good people, just like anywhere else.

Couldn't agree more. That's why imma be up and outta here in the next few years.

some nice points that i agree with, some i don't.

basically, it's like this. by mere chance you were born. by mere chance your were born on u.s. soil. by mere chance history took various turns over several millenniums, and that was after several hundred million years of pre-human evolution, landing us on the day you were conceived. so many things could have altered the course of history to which the end result would be you would never exist. although it's not entirely an accurate ideology, i'm still gonna say "you're pretty lucky to be here" in a way, and it's a pretty big coincidence in a way also. the picture i'm painting is that you are not responsible for the situation you were put in and neither am i. if i were an american and you were not, the situation here would probably be exactly the same but with the tables turned. i would be saying the anti-u.s. attitude is played out and you would be the one pointing the finger at the u.s. we're in different places and we could never understand each other but we both have a point so i don't think any of us should give in to the other either.

i feel that for every word i write, i render my post more and more useless lol.

it's a fair assumption that the anti-u.s. attitude is gonna withstand for some time to come, so we're gonna have to learn to live with it. the u.s. is a large player on the international scene. you have more influence, so you are more prone to have fingers pointed at you. that's the way it is. that's the price you have to pay to be an american.

i personally have a few issues with some u.s. politics, but more-so, i have a problem with the concept of america. you are not supposed to cram that much people and money into one country in one place. the way things are going in the u.s., china and other large countries is proof of that imo. although i think all the gun related crime in america is also rooted in the mentality of americans. your country was "founded on war," a term which you are probable familiar with. if during the civil war, every u.s. citizen had the mentality that everyone should own guns in order to protect themselves, that obviously left a trace in their children's minds. which then continued to leave traces. there was never a reason for people not to have guns, so i see it as very possible that the idea that everyone should be able to own a gun was passed on from generation to generation. the idea itself evolved, but the principle that everyone should own a gun, everyone is in charge of their own safety, and similar ideas persist in the u.s. today. i don't think this necessarily has something to do with your politics being "stupid", and it's easier said than done for america to change their laws regarding guns. you don't want to and it probably wouldn't change things for the better anyway. my issues with america are different. i don't blame america as a whole though, i blame your president(s).

i went on to blabber on for paragraphs, sorry. i'm ending it now. just some random thoughts. as a conclusion i guess i agree with you. there is a lot of unfounded hate for america in the world, a lot of ignorance as far as america's political agendas are concerned. and yes, i do know that there is a lot of good americans among all the stereotypes and assholes :)

Really? Is the UK that bad? I wanted to move there :(

Pro's - free healthcare

Con's - everything is fucking expensive, the weather here sucks, people are unfriendly, the education system here blows, there's too much tax on every fucking thing, there is no real multiculturalism outside of london, everything is fucking expensive, everything is fucking expensive.

london is the only decent place to live in the whole country....but it's also the most expensive.

i wouldn't advise on living here. come for a holiday and you'll have a great time...but living here is a whole different bucket of water. In a couple of years, I wanna be living in Frisco, LA, Seattle or Portland.

Of those 4, I would recommend Portland. Stay out of Cali at all costs.

I was just in Portland (and Seattle) for 2 weeks, as my in-laws live in Portland. Very nice place. What don't you like about Cali, though? I love LA and Frisco (got family there too).

San Fran is gay, that's what's wrong with it. I engaged in a semi-conversation with a man headed for Sea-Tac airport yesterday at a bus stop. He was from San Fran and was complaining about how Seattle sucks. My initial reaction to that was that he probably got rejected by a couple of homos on Capitol Hill. I didn't tell him that. But, I still think that's what it was.

LOL. Bit of a stereotype there. From the few times I've been to SF, it seems those guys keep themselves to themselves. There's a gay district there I believe, I think they all just hang out there.

I played a gig at Club Six on Mission (same club used to film the movie 'Rent'), and that place was ghetto as hell. There was about 20 dudes just standing out front selling crack.

Cali is run by Jews and Hollywood stars. You thought a retarded rich kid from Texas bad? Think again. Add that to the coming terroristic attacks and half of LA sinking into the ocean. Not good at all. But most of my hate for Cali comes from California Roll. Did you know that you can't get a Cali Roll at a traditional Japanese sushi restaurant?

From Wiki
"The origin of the California roll is somewhat murky, but usually food historians credit Ichiro Mashita, sushi chef at the Tokyo Kaikan in Los Angeles with inventing the roll in the early 1970s. Mashita realized the oily texture of avocado was a perfect substitute for toro. He also eventually made the roll "inside-out", i.e. uramaki, because Americans did not like seeing and chewing the nori on the outside of the roll."

I hate these cultureless fucks that think they know everything. What? You don't like nori? Well, get the fuck out there then motherfucker. Ohhhh I don't like the texture... Ohhhh I don't like how it sticks to my teeth. Booo fucking Hoo! Burger King is around the corner and they'll Have It Your Way bitch! California Roll is a piece of shit roll... I mean, the contrast of the cucumber, crab and avocado is great but as far as taste goes - it's weak. But these cultureless fucks sure love their Cali Rolls, and they dump them in their own sauce (3 part wasabi, 1 part soy sauce), some fucks dip everything in Chili Garlic Sauce.. OMFG... Okay, here's a live cockroach on rice, plenty of proteins. The dirt like taste will not show because your tongue will be numbed by the intense spiciness.

They say Spicey Tuna this, Spicey Tuna that but they really use old tuna not suitable for nigiri. They spice it up to hide the oldness.
