Firefox Pledge

I did it.

Whenever I'm at someone's place who aren't that much with the computers, I always make sure to download Firefox and spread propaganda that it's much safer, better and faster. Noobies' biggest fear are viruses and trojans. I just say it has better protection against that and they all buy it. What's true is really not relevant, the fact is that it is much better, and that generally, supporting an open-source project instead of a closed big corporate one = :thumb:

Opera is nice and all, but from last time I remember the actual interface looked way more intricate than Firefox, which to me simply boiled down to the fact that less is smoother. A desk full of items will bring forth a feeling of tiredness way earlier than a cleaned-out desk. I browse quite a lot at times, so I prefer an interface that's easy on the eyes. And like I said, last time I used Opera about a year and a half ago, it didn't feel that way to me.

I won't deny that technically, it's a great browser.

You should check the new opera. I never though that opera looks not nice. The new interface is nice, clever and super fast to browse in my opinion. It's also a bit easier and more intuitive than firefox.
But come to think of it Firefox and Opera work in a really similar way.
Sometimes when I visit my friends and have to browse with IE or Safari I want to shoot them for not having Opera/Firefox.

What happens to Windows on your computer when you install Firefox? Isn't Windows and IE a complete package?

I use Firefox and IE, really I don't see the big deal about Firefox. I think it's a case of people liking to hate more than they like to love, so really anything that is not IE is better, for them at least.

IE has all ways been crap, and there are too many exploits and viruses designed to attack IE.

Firefox is alot more resistant, stable and also freesource, which allow real plugins where IE really only supports extensions.

Viva La Mozilla/Netscape!

I was weary of firefox at first, because it was something I was unfamiliar with, being that I have used IE in the past. This was before I got my compaq. Now I boycott IE. I pledged :thumb:
