I was just wondering if anyone here has ever filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and if so, how well they helped you. Also, explain your situation.

You think so? I don't know if I should even bother to be honest. But from what i've been told.. if I do want to do something about my problem, they are the people to call. Them or the Attorney General. The way I look at it, there's no harm in trying. But at the same time, if they aren't gonna do shit.. I don't need more of a headache.

^ A lil background about your issue, if u don't mind?

Well basically, this place sold me a fucked up car. I obviously wasn't aware of the problems or I wouldn't have bought it. I took it for a test drive and everything seemed fine. But after I got it, problems started to happen. The place I got it from is filled with idiots who didn't really help me, they just gave me a headache. They couldn't fix the problem I had the first time. It was basically "this problem is too expensive to try and fix all together, so we'll do what we can and if it comes back, you can make another appointment to come back and see us." Obviously not word for word, but that's what they basically said to me. So after going back about 5-6 times, they didn't really do shit. Then when I take it to another place, they tell me about problems with the car that I wasn't even aware about. So basically, the place I got it from didn't tell me about these problems or they were too dumb to even realize there were other problems. I'm going with the first. So they basically sold me a car with problems and never did much to fix them, only minor shit. So i'm at the point where I can't see myself going back to them because they do nothing to help me. I have to go somewhere else to get shit done right, regardless of my warranty. I refuse to look at it like "oh well I have a warranty, so i'll just go back to them until this is all fixed." I won't make an appointment to go see them every couple of weeks when they don't help. So right now i'm basically paying 2000 to fix some problems.

try some scare tactics
1.threaten to sue
2.threaten to take it to the media

if they do nothing, get an estimate for all repairs needed and just take them to court

you should report it to the local news. there was a couple that reported how they had a really bad experience with a dodge dealership in louisville kentucky and reported it to one of the local stations. after the reporter went there and started asking question with video cameras and started pissing people off the couple got a brand new truck.

if you're in the states, check out your state's lemon law. usually if undisclosed problems arise within the first month you stand to get all your money back and walk from the deal. likewise, if you financed the car through a bank loan, you can leverage the bank's power to intimidate the dealer.

There's one of the problems. I mean, if I understood correctly.. the lemon law states that the dealer has to have 3 attempts at fixing the problem that the car has within 30 days? In my case, they never gave it a shot the same day ..or same week for that matter. I always had to make an appointment for 1-2 weeks later. And technically, they never really fixed the problem AND never told me about other problems. Know what I mean?

I live in Providence, Rhode Island by the way.
