...find yourself skimming through threads until you reach a member you know because they're probably the only ones with anything decent to say? I was in the Life Forum and I realized I do it a lot in there to get through the bullshit. In Streethop a lot too. Not so much in here because I don't expect intelligence anyway.

So do you ever do that?

Once I get myself to read someone's long post, and if it has a good point, I'll tend to read their posts more seriously from then on.

yeah, I do it all the time in the Life forum, whenever I find a thread started by Dante, Yeshua, cookies, etc, I read it, and sometimes I just skip the others

i just skip the whole fucking thing.

but everywhere else, its usually the thread title that gets me to click. the user sometimes effects my decision also but im mostly looking at the thread title. other times i look at how responded to the thread last and if i like them that would make me go in and see what they said.
