if you're talking about people like Cuba Gooding jr. or Taye Diggs then no. But people like Anthony Anderson, Cedric The Entertainer or Bernie Mac probally do use it. and it's not that it's frowned upon or taboo or something...it's just the individual might not feel comfortable using the word.

I agree, you do get to the point where you lose the slang, and get your grown man on.... And please remember it's not just men who use that word. Wemon are also serious violators of the word, espically here in NYC.
