Trouble followed its very best friend DMX last weekend to a Back to School Jam at New York’s Nassau Coliseum.
According to sources, sound problems caused the rapper to cut his performance short and jump into the crowd, apparently in an attempt to go after the soundman. When X finally stepped back onstage, his entourage was in tow and the group posed before the crowd before he exited.
Angry fans began tossing water bottles and food at the remaining members of his entourage, prompting the crew to return fire.
"A mini-riot broke out, as you can imagine, when members of DMX's crew began firing items back into the crowd," one concert-goer said, "One member [of DMX's entourage] jumped off stage into the crowd."
"He jumped in his booth and proceeded to swing at him several times. I could hear those punches connecting."
Police swooped in and shut the whole thing down, which killed a headlining performance by rapper Jim Jones.
