Made possible by TDK Life on Record and an outstanding international artist collaboration, The DJ Knows is DJ Perplex’s first officially released mix, being circulated across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
No ordinary collection of tracks from Australia’s premier scratch turntablist (placing ninth in the DMC DJ World Champs last year), it is a work of art in itself. DJ Perplex proves himself to be a talented composer, mixer and battle scratcher, playing a part in every aspect of the creation of the CD.
With contributions from the likes of Aussie Hip Hoppers Muph & Plutonic, Koolism, Resin Dogs, DJ Bonez, Raph, Phrase and Illzilla, Perplex ensures that the local scene is represented in this global-scale mix.
Revered U.S. artists The Grouch and Murs throw in "The Bay To LA", Spank Rock bring their oh-so-saucy "B.O.O.T.A.Y." and other stalwarts Time Machine add an extra element to the mix. DJ Perplex also treats fans to a host of British talent with The Body Snatchers grinding party track "Mami", the one and only MC Chester P (Task Force) with "Northsides" and The Nextmen featuring Dynamite MC with "Concentrate".
