Have any Of You Ever had To Wear braces?
Any Of You Wearing Braces Now?

Myself I Wore Braces For 4yrs. From When I Was 8 to 12yrs Old.
I Hated Wearing Them. Got Into A Fight, An Dude Sucker Punched Me On My Lip. The Metal from That "OUCH"
 
I had braces from the age of 10 until about 15, i hated wearing them, i had a head brace that i had to wear at night and it was horrible!!

but hey it was worth it cos i love my teeth now!
 
I had braces too , i got the usual abuse - metal micky etc and it hurt when you ate and especialy when they were tightened , but to be honest having stuck with them its one of the best things i ever did !! I have nice teeth now :D
 
I'm gonna be getting braces as soon as i get some cash.
But not the normal one's that you can see in front of your teeth. These one's are new one's that go behind your teeth (and it costs twice as much)
The reason i could never get them at an early age was because my wisdom tooth.
One wisdom tooth popped up when i was 15-16, one popped up when i was 18-19 and one's popping out now, and there is no sign of the other.

How in the hell do they work ?? they gotta be a lot different to the old style as it would rip your tougne to shreads :eek:

^^^^ mine were like that but on the front on my teeth, they hurt like hell when i had them tightened, also when he put elastic bands on them (god knows what for!!)

the dentist who did mine was horrible, as a result i am now very scared of the dentist!!

I had the same as The one posted but on the front. I hated the dentist when they tightened them, I couldn't eat for a day. So I learned my lesson and I ate very much when I had an appointment so it could carrry me on for 1 day of food-supplies :p I had them for about 1 year at the age 16-17
 
Actually i have braces at this moment..
First I had a stupid plastic thing above, for 3 months and i couldn't also eat for a few days..
since January i have those things on the front like posted before .. In a few weeks it will be taken out...
My teeth look nice at this moment :)
 
i did in my junior high school for about a yr and some it was actually pretty quick.


anyways i have a friend who had them for 6 yrs was pretty bad she wasnt a very happy person throughout high school.

but man after the benfits of having them are actually amazing.(meaning after you takem em off they look good-your teeth anyways)
 
shit... i still haven't gotten braces. i'm 16, almost 17, and they want me to get braces. i have a fake front tooth from a basketball accident... and its only temporary.. and they've told me i need to get braces before i get the permanent tooth (dental implant). the thing i don't understand is... how the fuck can i keep the temporary tooth and the braces in my mouth at the same time!? that shit is gonna be crowded... i don't think it can work because the temporary tooth has a mouthpiece that fits into my mouth.. its hard to explain... but anyway.. i already basically have straight teeth, i just have an overbite.. so they want to fix that.

damn dentists! ahhhh

Tell them to go fuck themself, holmes. You really don't want fuckin braces at your age.

I've been lucky enough to never have to wear them shits. My teeth are straight.
